      A: No, the I-FAX key option is only necessary for Desktop Faxing.

    • Q: How do customers copy two sides of an ID card from platen glass onto the same page?
      A: Select Job Memory tab and press M5 (Double Exposure). Place the ID card in the upper-left corner of platen glass. When the unit asks if it is "Last Original", press "No." Flip the card over, but keep it in the same spot in upper-left corner and press "Start." When unit asks if it is "Last Original" again, select "Yes."

    Model: Panafax UF-8000
    • Q: How do customers enter one-touch and abbreviated numbers?
      A: Go to fax parameter #119 (QWERTY KEYBOARD) by pressing Function, 7, 4, and Set, then press 1 to set the one-touch function. To store numbers in the Speed Dial keys, press Function, 7, 2, then Set and follow the prompts on the LCD.

    Model: Most Panafax Model Fax Machines
    • Q: A customer wishes to receive printed fax transmission verification upon successful transmission every time. How is this programmed?
      A: To turn on transmission verification receipt for every fax sent, press Function 7, 4 Set, 1, 2 Set, 2 Set, and press Stop twice.
    • Q: How do customers program the machine's Date/Time?
      A: To change the date and time, press Function, 7, 1, Start. Enter the date and time using the dial pad (military clock example: 1:00 would be 1300 hours). Press Start, and press Stop twice.

    Scanners
    Model: All Scanners
    • Q: When scanning with RTIV software, can the file name and file type be changed after the documents are scanned?
      A: Not with RTIV. Panasonic now offers a free download from our Web site. "Image Capture Software" can create documents in a Work Folder. After a document is created, it can be edited and confirmed. Filenames and file types may be changed, and the software can then output the image to an Output Folder.

    Model: KV-S7065C/KV-S3065C
    • Q: A Vertical Black Line still occurs after cleaning the CIS glass. How can this be corrected?
      A: KV-S7065C
      Place an 8.5 x 11, white piece of glossy paper in the tray. The leading edge will be the 11-inch side so place the paper in landscape position.

      Run the User utility, select User Shading and start shading. The paper will slowly pass through the scanner and calibrate the optics. Close the utility and run a normal scan to see if the line has been corrected.

      A: KV-S3065CL
      Follow the same instructions as the KV-S7065C, but make the 8.5-inch side the leading edge and place it in the portrait position

      Follow the same instructions as the KV-S7065C.

    • Q: What protocol should be used — Line Printer Remote (LPR) or RAW — when installing a printer driver on a network?
      A: Install via RAW TCP/IP 9100 for standard TCP/IP port for Windows 2000/XP. (Note: LPR should be used when installing on Unix networks and most other server-based installations.)
