Console Management System

The only technology that enables a single client to integrate with multiple management consoles on multiple operating system platforms. A user can link to popular Enterprise Console Systems such as HP OpenView, Tivoli Enterprise and set up the device so the console can manage it.

Digital SkyShot

This unique technology automatically eliminates unnecessary darkened areas around a small or odd-sized original, even when the platen cover is open. Digital SkyShot also reduces toner consumption.

Panasonic Document Management System (P-DMS)

Software that streamlines scanned documents easily and efficiently regardless of the file formats. All of the Panasonic-DMS capabilities can be performed with a simple "drag and drop" operation. Network file sharing and network file storage is possible for efficient document workflow. The "Save As" function enables documents to be saved in PDF format. Panasonic-DMS comes standard with all of the WORKiO® digital imaging systems.

Network Accounting Manager

Software that collects and counts log information stored in the network printing device, allowing for proper billing/chargeback fees by department, etc. Up-to-date total sum reports can be generated automatically after the data is periodically processed and registered. Reports can be generated by group name, user name, device name, and job type and can be accessed by any standard web browser.

Network Connectivity

The majority of WORKiO MFPs come standard with a 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet interface and parallel interface enabling connectivity directly to a PC or local area network (LAN).

Network Scanning Capability

With “push”-type scanning capability, documents can be scanned and then sent to a specified PC using “Scan-to-PC”. The scanned data can then be transferred to an ftp server.

Network Status Monitoring & Device Management

Allows users to monitor the current status of networked WORKiOs directly from their desktop. A Panasonic Web Status Monitor is also available which allows users to check the status of a WORKiO located in a remote area via a standard web browser (such as Internet Explorer) from any Java-enabled computer.

Device Locator

Allows users to easily locate and specify a WORKiO, even when two or more WORKiOs are connected to the same network.

Configuration Editor

Enables users to set up a WORKiO via the network which makes it much easier to edit the machine’s configuration when adding options or making various changes.

Scan-to-Email (Internet Fax)

With the Internet Fax option, the WORKiO converts documents into TIFF-F image files and/or PDF and transmits them as email attachments via the local area network.

"Scan-to-Email" feature users can send documents directly from the WORKiO to other Internet fax machines or even multiple email clients worldwide at the touch of a button. When both LAN and PSTN lines are used at the same time, Email/G3 mixed broadcast is a convenient way to send the same document to both email addresses and G3 fax machines.

Storage & Document Management System

Panasonic's exclusive DD Storage System allows users to easily convert paper documents into digital data. A unique two-dimensional DD barcode prints on the cover page of each document for filing purposes. The rest of the document will be stored digitally for access at a later date by using the DD-coded cover page. DD Storage System is a great way to minimize storage requirements and paper consumption.

Super G3 Fax

With the optional fax communication kit, users can transform their WORKiO into a high-speed 33.6-kbps Super G3 fax machine that transmits a page in about three seconds (letter-size). Besides faster transmission, prep time is also much shorter thanks to 0.7-sec. Quick-Scan. In addition, when a user sends multiple pages, the Quick Memory Transmission saves time by connecting to the receiver and beginning transmission while still collecting data.

Panafax® Desktop/Network PC Faxing

Software that enables the user to send or receive a fax directly from their PC without having to print it before transmitting. Panafax Desktop comes standard with the WORKiO digital imaging systems.

Print Data Mailbox

Printing data can be stored in user’s Mail Box or Security Box. With a User ID, users can store printing data for output later and not have to keep the application open or the PC on after sending the data to Mail/Security Box. Storage space is located in a dedicated hard disk area that can be used as personalized disk space for up to 100 different users.

Tandem Copy

Convenient feature for extra large copy jobs with tight deadlines. Tandem Copy lets users harness the power of multiple WORKiO platforms to work jointly on a single job, saving time when high-volume copy jobs are necessary.

AS/400® Host Printing System

Most WORKiO systems are equipped with AS/400 printing capabilities utilizing a Workstation Station Customized Object (WSO) supplied by IBM. This eliminates the need for an exclusive printer, and installation space requirements are kept to a minimum, allowing more efficient use of office space. Users who already purchased an AS/400® system with an exclusive printer can replace it with an AS/400-capable WORKiO and take full advantage of WORKiO's inherent multifunction capabilities such as copying and network printing, as well as using it as an AS/400 printer. When the fax or network scanner options are added, WORKiO's multifunction capabilities are expanded even further.
